The beaded dragon
Updated: May 23, 2019
My 6 year old daughter is one of those people who always shoots for the stars (aren't all children like that?) and I'm not going to be the one who tells her to aim lower. When she came home with a little beads craft she did at school, I instantly knew that we were about to start another epic and grandiose project. And indeed we did. We bought thread and thousands of beads and we started making all kinds of beaded animals following the instructions of YouTube tutorials. You can see in the pictures our lizard keychain, the seahorse, the dragon, the snake and the dolphin/shark/orca. Yes they all look the same but for her they all look extremely different. It's quite a mindful activity that I actually enjoyed more than I thought. Just in case you decide to give it a go, I'm going to warn you that YouTube doesn't have tutorials YET of how to do: a beaded unicorn, a beaded PJMasks or a beaded scorpion. Shame on you, YouTube!
